1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Yombah platform — including the operator web dashboard and passenger mobile application — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Operator accounts
To use the Operator Portal, you must register an account and complete the verification process. By registering, you confirm that:
- You are an authorised representative of the bus operating company.
- All information submitted — including company registration and bank details — is accurate and up to date.
- You will keep your account credentials secure and not share them with unauthorised parties.
- You accept responsibility for all activity conducted through your operator account.
3. Operator obligations
Operators using Yombah agree to:
- Publish only trips that will actually operate on the stated date, time, and route.
- Honour bookings made by passengers through the Yombah platform.
- Maintain valid vehicle roadworthiness and insurance as required under Gambian law.
- Not use the platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purposes.
- Promptly update schedules or notify passengers in the event of cancellations or changes.
4. Passenger bookings (bus)
Passengers who book bus trips through the Yombah mobile app agree that:
- Bookings are subject to seat availability at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed securely via our payment partners. Yombah does not store payment credentials.
- QR code e-tickets are non-transferable and must be presented at boarding.
- Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual operators and will be shown at the time of booking.
5. Flight bookings
Yombah offers flight ticket booking as an intermediary service powered by Duffel. By booking a flight through Yombah, you agree that:
- Flight availability and fares are subject to airline inventory and fare rules at the time of booking.
- Prices displayed are indicative and locked for a limited time only — fare expiry applies. The final confirmed price is shown at checkout.
- Cancellation and refund eligibility is determined by the airline and the fare type purchased, not by Yombah. Some fares are non-refundable.
- Yombah acts as an intermediary booking agent and is not liable for airline schedule changes, flight cancellations, delays, or denied boarding.
- In the event of an airline-initiated cancellation, any refund entitlement is governed by the airline's policies and applicable passenger rights regulations.
- Card payments (Visa and Mastercard) for flights are processed securely via Stripe. Mobile money payments for flights are subject to network availability and transaction limits.
- Passenger details submitted at booking — including full name, date of birth, and passport information — must be accurate. Errors may result in denied boarding and are the passenger's responsibility.
6. Verification and suspension
Operator accounts require approval by the Yombah administration team before full access is granted. Yombah reserves the right to suspend or revoke operator access at any time if:
- Submitted documents are found to be false or misleading.
- The operator fails to honour bookings or receives substantiated passenger complaints.
- The operator violates any provision of these Terms & Conditions.
- Required by applicable law or regulatory authority.
7. Limitation of liability
Yombah provides a technology platform that connects operators and passengers, and acts as an intermediary for flight bookings. Yombah is not a transport operator or airline and is not responsible for the actions, delays, cancellations, or conduct of any bus operator or airline listed on or accessible through the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yombah's total liability to any party shall not exceed the amount paid by that party to Yombah in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of The Republic of The Gambia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of The Gambia.
